Captivated by you - Sylvia Day

Captivated by you - Sylvia Day

Hey Readers,

Well this review is going to pain me to right and with a sad heart I do, I waited the long 18 months for this book to finally reach us which I understand books never go to plan and the writing process itself takes time.

This book takes us back to Eva and Gideon being the 4th in the crossfire series not only do we hear the relationship through the eyes of Eva but we also begin to see it through Gideon's eyes which I did enjoy about this book because it is always nice to read it from the other perspective.

On the down side I feel the characters relationship did not move on any and it was still left with a lot of uncertainty that could of possibly been tied up within the first 3 books. As an avid romance reader I have been left frustrated with a lot of unanswered questions that I had hoped this book would of gave me.

The relationship between Gideon and Eva seems even more up and down than the first 3 books and it not helping with Eva's ex coming into play and also a tell all book being written about Gideon which puts a lot of strain on them both.

It really is with a sad and frustrated heart I write this although on the plus I will read the next book in the hope that it will give me the closure on this series i have been waiting for.

All in all not as good as the first 3 books in the crossfire series which I would recommend and Sylvia Day is a great writer as I have some of her other books.

Happy reading

Tiffany Reisz - The King

The King by Tiffany Reisz

Well I waited patiently for this book and it was most definitely worth the wait it did not fail in making me chuckle but also letting you find out who the real Kinsley Edge is.

From the outset of this book you wonder what kind of dark world it will take you into as we already know through The Original Sinners Red Years that Kinsley is the known as the king of the underground and he is the owner of the 8th circle BDSM club.

The great thing about this book is you learn how king comes to owning that club and it shows that nothing will stand in his way when he gets an idea in his head of what he wants, he will go for it pushing all obstacles out of his way.

This book begins with Kingsley telling Grace his story and which leads to him explaining his reason for his visit to her in London. It shows the relationship between Soren and King it also explains the love Soren has for Nora "the girl they dreamed of"

As the book goes on you learn also the relationship between king and mistress Felicia when reading the part of the story to do with her she has the same fire mistress Nora has and she has Kingsley eating out her hand which is some place to have him.

This book also shows the people he had to fight to get his beloved club and he stops at nothing to get it. Sam his assistant is the one thing that finally pulls the last straw and wins him the club of his dreams.

All in all Tiffany Reisz has done it yet again and produced another part of the original sinners that has you gripped and falling in love with the characters deeper and deeper. This series has had me gripped from the beginning I just hope you all like as much as me.

Happy Reading

Pricilla west - The forever series

Hey Readers,

Well where to begin with this, you have an amazingly strong willed lead female character in the form of Kristen who is very career orientated which for me is always a plus beats a female lead who has no control. When you first meet her she is preparing for the biggest meeting of her career and the first time she meets the sexy surfer millionaire that is Vincent.

From the outset of the first book they have obvious chemistry and even though she try's to fight it as she doesn't want to not only loose the firm a massive contract but also jeopardise loosing the job she loves. As the books go on they get very heated but what I like that Pricilla West done was kept you in suspense most of the first book you just want more and you are nearly finished the first book before they even get to the naughty parts.

The second book opens with Kristen's past haunting her dreams this is when it unravels about an abusive ex partner who is call Marty, when he turns up at her home it brings everything back.

By the end of the last book you are in total shock with the events that unravel which I will leave for you to read yourself.

I started this book at bedtime which turned out to be my worst idea because I could not put it down, it got to the last page of book 3 before I realised just how long I had been sat reading which to me is a sign of a great series as it has not happened for a while. You will laugh with the characters, wish for the flirtation to move on to hotter levels then fall in love with them by the end.

Great writing if you ask me would highly recommend these books if you are looking for something to heat you up on these cold winter nights.

Hope you enjoy

Beauty and the Beast by Shoshanna Evers

Hey Fellow Readers,

Well I am here to tell you of a fairy tale that was dear to my heart when I was a child growing up, this fairy tale take by the amazingly talented Shoshanna Evers has not only brought my favourite tale alive it has brought it a lot more dark and most definitely not for the faint of heart also this is for adult eyes only!!!

This is a story of a brave women who tells the beast to take her as his prisoner and let her father go free. In doing so she submits fully to the beast and what ever he may desire.

When the evil queen the beasts stepmother puts a curse on the beautiful prince and the castle he lives in, changes him so he looks hideous and will never be loved so as never to break the curse.

Will Belle be enough to break the curse can she look past his ugly looks and horrible mood to give him true loves kiss.

It is a story of torture, imprisonment and love.

Amazing writing once again by Shoshanna Evers

Hope you enjoy

Pearl, Arianne Richmonde

Hey Readers,

Well where to begin with this as you know I have already reviewed the Pearl Trilogy and gave it an amazing review that was before I got to read the delight that is Pearl the story from the other side meaning the super sexy story from Alexandre Chevalier view point.

Reading it from a man's point of view is interesting especially as he explains Pearl as beautiful. The French man comes well and truly alive be it when he seems like he is giving off double messages when they are going on there first date and checking her out quietly when they are rock climbing.

This book also shows you the worry he goes through when he feels he has lost her for good when his sister Sophie Dumas tells lies to Pearl in a phone call which in Pearl leaving and not turning back

When this happens he realises there must be a very big gesture and for most women or at least somebody like me he would definitely win me over turning up in a fireman's outfit while climbing the fire escape to Pearls apartment.

I could rave about this book all day but I would give far to much away and wouldn't want to ruin it for the reader. All I will say this is one very hot relationship in and out the bedroom a most definite read with the cold winter night coming in.

Hope you enjoy as much as me

A nice quote by Bob Moorehead

Hey guys,

I found this quote and thought I would share it with you we are all guilty for not noticing what we have until it is to late

“The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but
shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more,
but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and
smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees
but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more
problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little,
drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too
little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our
possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and
hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to
life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but
have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer
space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom,
but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but
accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more
computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we
communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small
character, steep profits and shallow relationships.

These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but
broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway
morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything
from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the
showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can
bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share
this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember, to spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not
going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks
up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave
your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the
only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most
of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from
deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person might
not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to
share the precious thoughts in your mind.”

Night time words

Sometimes night time is the time I truly come alive I look up at the stars and know that it may be dark here but somewhere in the world is experiencing the light of a new day.

Everybody goes through issues be this so little they feel unworthy of speech or the larger ones that you dare never say because of the fear of saying them out loud, I suppose this is where the quietness of night may come in. You can stand outside looking at the stars and say whatever you feel and the people be it family, friends or loved ones who may be one of these stars now will hear your plea.

It is in the darkest hours we find the strength to carry on and make our own sunshine, it gives you the fire to say "I can do this"

Fight for what you believe, fight for what you love most of all fight for yourself because you don't owe it to anybody but yourself to love, laugh and be happy.

When the sun rises wake up to a new day, a new beginning and say to yourself I will win.
 Today is my day!

A little of the boring stuff "ME"

Hello Fellow Readers

Well I thought I should really introduce you to the person hiding behind the book reviews. I am a 20 something girl who love nothing more than leaving reality and disappearing into a book to be honest it is the only time my partner gets me to shut up is when I am lost in a book world.

I have serving in the British Military for nearly 6 years as part of the Royal Air Force, it has been a fun career but due to health reasons I may have to leave this career behind and look for something a tad more normal.

My way of thinking now is what is meant for you wont go by you, a good way to live I suppose. As I have said before I will keep you up to date with any books I think are worth talking about be it the strong female lead, hunky male role or even something a little more mellow and heart felt I just hope you will get as much enjoyment out of the books I review as I have reading them.

Keep well readers.

Stolen Grace, Arianne Richmonde

Hey fellow readers

Todays book choice is a lot different to the books I have reviewed so far but deserves to be spoken about. Arianne Richmonde had me holding my breath most of the way through this book.

If you are looking for a book to grip all your emotions and make you feel like it is you the reader who is going through this, then I would highly recommend you read this!

It starts with a family who have up rooted from the high life of New York city to the quiet country life in Wyoming. Sylvia and Tommy's marriage is on the rocks and he is fighting to win back the trust of his wife. Unfortunately not much work being where they live he is having to travel to LA for an interview leaving his wife and young daughter Grace at home.

While Tommy is in LA Sylvia's friend Ruth who she met through a friend of a friend was coming to stay and keep her company. After a devastating phone call Sylvia needs to get to her father and quick with only 1 seat left on the plane and Tommy not able to be home till that morning they agree to let Ruth watch over Grace until he gets back, little do they realise this is going to be the worst decision of their life.

This is where I started holding my breath and forgot to let it back out Sylvia's trusted friend takes Grace and goes on the run with her. Throughout this book you are full of emotions be it the hatred for Ruth or the feelings of sadness and despair for Tommy and Sylvia but always having that bit of hope that they will all be reunited as a family.

I will not say anymore as I do not want to ruin it for you the reader. All I will say is make sure you have a box of tissues at the ready. Arianne Richmonde shows us by this book there is nothing she can not put her hand to. Absolutely brilliant story from start to finish.

Thanks for reading this, hope you enjoy the book

The Saint

Hey Guys

Where to begin with this book. The red years had me gripped but this one had me totally hooked and unable to put down. Tiffany Reisz has a great way with words and taking you to the world that is Nora (Eleanor) and of course the story behind how she met Father Marcus Stearns (Soren).

The story had me thinking the worst from the outset with how Nora was speaking took me on a total rollercoaster of emotions all the way to the end where I finally gasped a sigh of relief.

It really is a story of a love/hate relationship. It shows you how the relationship between Nora and Soren Blossomed, and of course how Kingsley also came about.

The best line from Kingsley has to be

"Have you ever had sex in the back of a Rolls-Royce?"

It also brings in a new relationship Nora has with a new character to get your teeth into (literally) one thing is sure it is not a book to be read by the faint hearted. Far to many good looking men for one book series.

Thank you Tiffany Reisz for another master piece can not wait for the king to be released in November.

This should definitely be on your must read list but please make sure you have read the Red Years before getting your teeth into this one so you know the characters.

Hope you enjoy as much as me

Thanks for reading this.

Little Red Riding Crop

Hello fellow readers

This was the first ever book I got for my kindle and only stumbled upon this by accident and how glad I did.

This was my first experience meeting Mistress Nora and Tiffany Reisz as a writer and since this moment I have been hooked.

In this short story Mistress Nora begins in a set of handcuffs and it is not anything to do with kink instead she is sat in a police office why you may ask but I will leave to the imagination, you are also introduced to the sexy Frenchman that is Kingsley Edge in the back of his Rolls Royce (totally hot)

All in the aid of holiday Nora visits the competition and strikes a bargain and enjoys the teasing and playing that goes with it.

Considering it was a free download had I known what I was about to begin I would of paid for it because I love the Original Sinners serious and look forward to more.

Get reading people if you want a book so much hotter than fifty shades. Also so many more book boyfriends to fall for.

Hope you enjoy as much as me
Donna

Hey fellow readers,

I am going to write about this book as I have literally just finished all 3 books and I am hot under the collar. “If you want possessive alpha male, I can certainly comply.” with a line like this it gives you and idea of the type of book I am writing about. It begins with a pretty normal female character in Alayna she has had her issues in the past with wanting to find love but taking it to a certain extent that is deemed "STALKER" after over coming these issues a seriously hot suited man walks into the bar she works in and from that moment although she knows deep down he would not be good for her after a little persuasion on his part she is soon falling for him.

Hudson (the suited man) soon has her just where he wants her in his bed but what he doesn't count on is falling in love with her, the relationship was meant to be a deal to throw people of course but instead he wants Alayna and not for show but for everything.

It is a very hot book with plenty of naughty added in, it also has an extremely bitchy female character in Celia who is trying to bring Alayna's past back to haunt her by making it look like she was stalking Celia when the whole time it was Celia being the stalker little to Alayna's knowledge.

What I liked as well even though Hudson and Alayna have their own issues when you put the pair together it made them whole gave them hope. Nothing like a good story to warm your heart.

All in all considering I stumbled on this trilogy by accident I found it pretty darn good and look forward to reading Hudson which is things from his view point as far as I know which should be interesting I hope it goes into the reason behind his game playing and tell us more about his super bitch of a mother because I grew to hate that women with her horrible comments.

I love the fact this book drew me into there world the characters jumping off the pages like you are watching a tv programme. Looking forward to finding more books by Laurelin Paige.

Hope this helps you guys and you enjoy this book as much as I did especially the rollercoaster of emotions it will send you on.

Happy reading

The Pearl Trilogy

The Pearl Series
By Arianne Richmonde

Arianne Richmonde has definitely struck gold on this trilogy. They reach out and grab your attention from start to finish with a massive cliff hanger in between. Ms Richmonde has you laughing, crying and in absolute shock throughout each book with characters who jump off the page.

You first meet 40 year old divorcee Pearl who feels the only kind of success she has is that of her professional life. When first setting eyes on Alexandre Chevalier and Sophie Dumas (brother and sister) while in a coffee shop Pearl is automatically attracted not realising until she begins to speak to him that these are the duo she was meant to interview.
Book 1 goes on into detail of there dating with Pearl being whisked of her feet literally. It also leaves you beginning to feel a little bitter towards Sophie feeling she is an extremely annoying sister who likes to get her penny worth in. By the time you delve deep into shadow of pearl (book 2) you feel Sophie is a very calculated women who will do anything in her power to break Pearl and Alexandre apart.
Throughout this book you get to know Alexandre's ex Laura who you feel a little sorry for although I will not give you the reason behind this. As this book comes to a close you are left feeling extremely angry, frustrated and most of all in shock.
By the time you reach Shimmers of Pearl which brings the trilogy to a close you have everything rooting for this couple to have the happy ending they deserve. You may also feel you have been on a rollercoaster ride with each character.
Arianne Richmonde has really excelled in making a french man very attractive and also making each character come alive.
These books are an amazing read which will capture your attention from start to finish.

I only hope you enjoy as much as I did

New to blogging

Hey guys,

I am new to all this blogging thing but my hope for this page is putting reviews on all the different books I have read. I am a Scottish girl living in England who loves nothing more than snuggling up with a good book boyfriend there are many of them to be fair.

If you enjoy a naughty read you should look through some of the books I have found. It may take me a while to get up to date with them but I am sure I will have something for everyone be it a strong female character or an amazingly hot male lead I have found a few to date.

Thank you for taking a look and I hope you like what you see

Donna

If you are looking for a strong female roll in a book look no further!!!!

The Original Sinners
 by Tiffany Reisz

This is the first book in the red years series by Tiffany Reisz and what a book it is. In the first book in the four book series it pulls you in by letting you meet the feisty Mistress Nora and welcomes you in to her world of kink and writing. You are totally gripped from the beginning or I was at least. It also introduces you to the London Mist who is Head strong Zach Easton who becomes the publisher for the book Nora is writing although to begin with he is not very happy with doing this. You will also be drawn into the dark world of the 8th circle, the notorious Kink club ran by the one and only Kingsley this club is like no others and is only open for a specific type of client. This is also where you will meet Soren (hot under the collar literally speaking as he is a priest) never thought I would fall for a character who devotes his life to the church but you can not help it.

You are also introduced to Nora's beautiful young helper Wes, he is young hot and got everything going for him including living with the top dominatrix that is Mistress Nora. Nora flirts with everyone is witty and strong everything you want in a female lead roll.

With Quotes like

"I've got a crisp new Benjamin for the first person who can give me a good synonym for thrust, noun form. GO"

This is kind of fun you will be reading throughout this book.

I would recommend this series to anybody who asks. I have re read it so many times while waiting for the other books to come out. Once you read it you will see why I am so addicted.

Tiffany Reisz is a legend in my eyes and can do no wrong
